Today, we're announcing an initiative to help bring more magazine archives and
current magazines online, partnering with publishers to begin digitizing
millions of articles from titles as diverse as New York Magazine, Popular
Mechanics, and Ebony. [etc.]

I don't see a complete list of magazines, but when you do find a magazine
they've scanned you can browse all available issues or search within those
issues. Here's "Ebony", covering 1973 to 1979:
