I'm not able to access my online OED right now, and I find only 13 Google
hits for "tall-man" letters, which appears to be FDA jargon for upper-case
letters (which doctors are asked to use in writing prescriptions in order to make
the prescriptions clearer). I found this most recently in a news story in the
Orlando SENTINEL (Wednesday January 30, pA8): "USE 'tall-man' lettering to help
staff distinguish between similarly named drugs. For example, acetaZOLamide
... acetaHEXamide."
