The good father could well be a relative, Wilson, though the clan is
pretty far-flung, having been tossed ashore at various points and in
various guises. I'm distantly related to the novelist Eoin McNamee,
still writing in Ireland. So far as I know, everyone here and there
uses the MAC-nuh-Mee pronunciation.
