An editorial in today's NYT )"Partying On" includes
in the third paragraph a description of the House
Ethics Committee as "a committee that usually sits
mute as a mesa."
A butte of a phrase, one might say! (But you've gotta
wonder what the writer was meaning to convey.)
Googled, it shows up only once -- as cited above!
