blogger vs. poster

The WP site has a David Ignatius "On Faith" column about a Kenyan
reporter who's received a death threat.  In the responses is the

This isn't a blog, and the people who post here are not bloggers per se.
It's more of a forum and those who post in the comments sections are
posters. 

 

Several people responding to Ignatius used referred to participants in
the forum as "bloggers," apparently extending the word to cover anyone
who participates in an online forum.
