Ben Zimmer's new column on word/phrase origins

Ads-l regular contributor Ben Zimmer has started a new feature on his Internet column "Word Routes," viz. "Mailbag Friday," which treats the origins and evolving usage of words and phrases.  Thus far two such items have appeared (June 20: "bamboozle") and July 4 ("hot dog").  The link is for the latest one is:

but by then clicking on "Mailbag Friday" on the first line of text, one has access to "bamboozle."
