maybe a different question would be what exactly is white. jews, I-talians,
and spaniards, were/are all considered non-white ethnicities, right? even
germans have been marginalized (in the US). pre-1960s/70s, weren't jews and
italians sort of 'non invited' to Ivy league universities?
only 'whitey' seems to target generic whites. to my ear, honkey and cracker
are as much class-based as ethnicity-based slurs.
