Subject: [19cBB] What NASA Jargon Owes to Early Base Ball Writing
In the 4 October 1856 issue of Porter's Spirit of the
Times (vol. 1, no. 5, p. 86, col. 1), a reporter,
commenting on the play of the Columbia Jr. (East
Brooklyn) and Newark Jr. (Newark) clubs, noted that
"These clubs are made up of youngsters of the right
stuff, and are in a progressive way."
