Heard on The Judges: misuse of garnish"

[Wilson Gray]

Fifty-ish black dad explaining why he kicked his teen-aged son out of
the house, despite the fact that the kid clearly "needed professional
help":

"He _garnished_ a knife at my wife [i.e., the mother of the son], your
honor! He _garnished_ a knife!"

Clearly, he was reaching for "brandished," but fell short.
