1984 in Roger Ebert _Roger Ebert's Movie Home Companion_ (1989 ed.) (K.C.: Andrews and MacMeel, 1988) 665: People who run tape recorders backward often say that English, played backward, sounds like Swedish."

  So if you want to translate a Bergman film without reading subtitles, just run it backwards!  It really works!
