Heard on The Judges: "get loud"

Early-thirty-ish, black-female speaker:

"Your honor, I don't want to _get loud_, but he [semi-boyfriend] making me mad!"


_Get loud_ is a clip of the _get loud and wrong_ of the past. My
mother uses this expression, so I don't have a clue as to how old the
expression may be. IAC, it means to "get one's Irish up," so to speak.
