_Gorillas in the Mist_ due to at least semi-explicit mentions of mating,
i'd have to think.
_Doctor Doolittle_ and _James and the Giant Peach_ seem odder to me, but
they feature sometimes-explicit challenges to authority.
Hey! Maybe those books can get this thread to merge with the "uppity"
thread, since _James_ has a main character who thinks he knows more than
his station as the child nephew would allow...
