[Jonathan Lighter]

A misanthropic friend emailed me today to complain about sentimental
"save-the-animals boo-hoovianism."

I disagree with what he says, but I will fight to the death to promote his
neologism as Word of the Year.

(Well, maybe not to the *death* exactly....)
