True but not too relevant. MOST of the years 2011-2020 (or vulgarly
2010-2019) *are* teens.
Not that it matters. Except for the "Roaring Twenties", and the obvious
"'teens" and "oughts" (cf. Fibber McGee's "19 ought 10"), decades are not
named in the Volksmund. Prescriptivist fussing by people who fuss about
such things has been to no avail in that direction.

Read your article, but would tend to disagree about
our entering the "teens". 10, 11, 12 are not teens.
As mentioned in your article, the popular nicknames
for the decades of the last century started with the
20's.
