is the geneology of one George Washington Lincoln (1853-1916). He was a white man and not apparently related to the President.

is even older. George Washington Lincoln Sr. was born October 9, 1798.

Better known is George Washington Gale Ferris Jr. (February 14, 1859 - November 22, 1896), inventor of the Ferris wheel.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the justly celebrated George Washington Carver (ca. 1864-January 5, 1943). According to

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Washington_Carver,

"In order to avoid confusion with another George Carver in his classes [at Iowa State Agricultural College], he began to use the name George Washington Carver."
