Ben,

You're a great spokesman for linguists everywhere.  Very professionally
done.  I'm specifically talking about the WHYY interview which I listened to
in its entirety.

Your instant recall memory about words suits you well to being the point man
for interviews about words and their history and meaning.

As Barry Popik once opined--"Ben Zimmer.  Hate that guy."

Of course, Barry meant that in the way we all do.  To paraphrase Butch
Cassidy and the Sundance Kid--"Who IS that guy!"
