Andrea Tantaros, "Republican strategist," on Fox News just now:

"The incoming administration cannot have a successful Obama narrative unless
they paint Bush as a complete failure."

Seems to mean "propaganda version of events."  If earlier exx. are any
guide, natural users of this po-mo nuance believe that "propaganda versions
of events" are about the only kind that exist.
