Except, of course, when it comes to how amateurs define linguistic terms such
as schwa. And maybe even when we exhibit a touch of scorn for the
"artificiality" and pseudologic of deep-seated bourgeois linguistic practices (such as
avoiding the split infinitive, or making a distinction between WHO and WHOM).
