I'd seen this word on LiveJournal & elsewhere on the Web but not
understood it, but when a friend of mine wrote on her Facebook page
"Nancy Pelosi just rickrolled me! *collapses in more helpless laughter*
Then I had to look it up. Google reports about 1,050,000 raw hits for
rickroll*.
UrbanDictionary
(http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=rickroll) and
Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rickrolling) have useful defs.
UrbDict and WP are consistent with each other, but of course with
sources like these you never can tell which of them is copying
another.

1. rickroll
To post a misleading link with a subject that promises to be exciting
or interesting, e.g. "World of Starcraft in-game footage!" or "Paris
Hilton blows Busta Rhymes' dick" but actually turns out to be the
video for Rick Astley's debut single, "Never Gonna Give You Up". A
variant on the duckroll.[*] Allegedly hilarious.
Ex: ...so instead of getting to beat off to footage of Ann Coulter
getting raped by hyenas, I got rickrolled. What a day!

1. duckroll
When you get a picture of a duck on wheels, instead of what you
expected to get. Often used on image boards such as 4chan.
Ex: By following a link that promises an upskirt picture of Britney
Spears, you get a picture of a duck on wheels, with the text
"DUCKROLL" written on it.
