"lose one's paycheck" = 'get laid off/fired', as in a currently
airing car commercial for the Ford Advantage Plan

"If you lose your paycheck, we'll make your payments for up to 12 months"

Googling "if you lose your paycheck" will bring this up many times
over, including one from a responder who twote* back:  "Awesome! I'd
lose my paycheck every week!"
