Google Groups (Usenet) has a couple hundred hits--some are just collocations
of the words, not the eggcorn--going back to 1990:


rec.arts.tv.soaps, "AMC Update Thursday 10/25," 26 Oct 1990:

"Swill came running up to the door so he could ease drop--he couldn't wait
to hear what happened."
