Twenty-ish black female speaker:

"I said, 'Oh, my God! Did I just _sneak_ that lady?!'"

Judge:

"What was that?"

Speaker:

"I _[[snuck] her]_, your honor."

Judge:

"['Snucker']?"

Speaker:

"Yes, your honor. I hit her while she wasn't looking."

Judge:

"Oh. You sucker-punched her."

Speaker:

"Yes, ma'am."

Judge:

"The court will take note of the new word, 'snucker.'"

All say, "How hard it is that we have to die!"––a strange complaint to
come from the mouths of people who have had to live.
