The plural of "moose" is ...

Although probably "moose" does not fit the pattern of "fish (sing.),
fish (plur.), fishes (plur.)".  I have no evidence of how the mavens
refer to more than one moose of more than one species.  "Skeletons of
many arthritic mooses have been discovered at Isle Royale"?  I
suppose not.  Except for Arlo Guthrie.

Although research has uncovered Wiktionary, "moose", which claims
"moose (plural moose, (chiefly humorous) meese, (dated, rare) mooses)".
