SBOTY?  (No, not what you're thinking -- "Sleeping Beauty of the Year"!)

      predict (n) = "A prediction. Obs. rare{em} 1."  (First and)
last use in 1609.

      true (v) = "1. trans. To prove true, verify. Obs.
rare{em}1."  (First and) last use in 1647.  (I am gratified to
observe that here I am following in the footsteps of another New
Englander playful with words, Nathaniel Ward of Aggawam.)
