"Nor'easter" -- missing definition? and an antedating

It has only just occurred to me to look separately in the OED for
both "northeaster" and "nor'easter".  The 1753 Boston Post-Boy
antedates the former's 1770 (but probably still means a wind) and the
1836 Goodrich _Robinson Crusoe very slightly antedates the latter's 1837.
