That (and the reason why it's in English) probably goes back to the time
when the Icelandic banks went belly-up owing squintillions to Uz Britz, and
the then Brit PM as was, Gordon Brown, used anti-terrorist legislation to
have Iceland's funds blocked.

The explanation, that the legislation was a mere act of convenience,
understandably didn't impress the Icelanders much.

And they still remember, nah?
