the traditional bassinet is portable, but you can now find objects
labeled as bassinets, though described as being movable but not
portable.  certainly an extension.

ummm.  a pet bed labeled as a bassinet.  another extension, one that i
don't see the point of, though it might appeal to people who think of
their pets as their babies.
