That's how the narrator of last night's History Channel epsiode of _America:
The Story of Us_ pronounces "Antietam." Like if you're Tatum O'Neal's niece
or nephew.
My wife reports hearing "archipelago" pronounced by the narrator of a
different documentary as
/ar kI p@ 'la go/.
