Garson beat me to it. That's the earliest appearance of "junk in the trunk" that
I was able to find on ohhla.com.

Duice's hit single was released a year after Sir Mix-a-Lot's "Baby Got Back,"
which had the memorable line, "Fonda ain't got a motor in the back of her
Honda," perhaps an inspiration for "junk/trunk"?
