In, what is a more understandable data resource (i.e. Nexis), there are 941
articles for _excitotoxin_ and 2 articles for _excito-toxin_.  There is an
entry for _excitotoxin_ in MW3--the online edition.  OED is, indeed, a
wonderful resource, not the only one.

Not in OED. A quarter million RGs; twice as many for "excitoxicity."
