The new goatee

The Boston Globe wrote today (page 1) of Boston city councilor Chuck
Turner, just found guilty of accepting a bribe and of lying to the
FBI, that "Jurors averted their eyes from the goateed six-term
councilor as they filed into the courtroom to deliver the verdict on
the second day of deliberations."  (Didn't take them long.)

But more prominent, and quite noticeable in the accompanying page 1
photograph, is his Fu Manchu moustache.  Perhaps an implied
association of Turner with Sax Rohmer's "archetype of the evil
criminal genius" (Wikipedia) would have been considered libelous in
an article on his conviction.
