Start spelling a sentence and see for each word a drop down list of predictions of what you are going to spell with numbers in front of each.  So you end up typing a few letters then picking a number to complete the word or even next couple of words to come.  The drop down list is ordered by most frequent on top, so you hit number 1 a lot.
