Blogs, for the most part, are not "family friendly". Two spottings on
TalkingPointsMemo blog today.
Headline on a morning post by Josh Marshall, "Tick-Tocking the
Clusterf..." [sic] (http://bit.ly/dp2Wif)
A reader comment on another post includes the reference "bugfuck crazy"
where I normally would have expected "batshit crazy" from this crowd.

And, following "Joementum" coinage six years ago (TPM search finds this
one: http://bit.ly/9kTTxz; Joe Lieberman likely came up with it during
his January 2004 CNN interview http://bit.ly/b3uAFf), TPM has regularly
gone to the same well, including "Mittmentum". (http://bit.ly/a5SclZ and
http://bit.ly/9XoqZ3) Morning post today--"Emmermentum" for the
Minnesota gubernatorial candidate. (http://bit.ly/aYyy6E) TPM (and Josh
Marshall in particular) use "X-mentum" in two different ways--implying
actual rise in the polls, but also sometimes suggesting sarcastically
that there is no credible rise in the polls despite the candidate's
claims to the contrary. These are not easy to distinguish in a vacuum,
but the respective posts usually include the actual numbers. Many others
picked up on it, although not always in the same sense. (For example,
search for "Gore-mentum" or "Mac-mentum" or "Hill-mentum")
VS-)
PS: Here are a couple more X-mentums:

PPS: Marshall and his staff routinely use other odd portmanteaus. For
example, X-palooza
Pollapalooza http://bit.ly/cyvFYZ
Crony-palooza http://bit.ly/dt5cSw
Bamboozlepalooza http://bit.ly/d8671A
