ravish = 'to ravage'

Let me revise my posting about "ravage" in the sense of 'rape', which I identified as somewhat prevalent currently:  A more precise definition would probably be 'perform vigorous (even violent) sexual intercourse, consensual or not; usually said of a male'.

I have, on occasion, heard a young woman say, rather approvingly, something like, "My roommate and her boyfried were making so much noise.  She was getting totally ravaged!"
