I do not quarrel with Jon's chronology of initial meaning; my memory
is absent.  And all I remember of Nixon is seeing on a street in
London, around the time of Watergate and his abdication, a van with
the inscription "Nixon Removals".  Unfortunately I did not have my
camera in hand.
