On Hurricane Irene today --

Governor Bev Perdue* of North Carolina: "Prepare for the worst and
pray for the best."

Mayor Michael Bloomberg of New York:  "We hope for the best but we
prepare for the worst."

(Entrepreneur Arthur Perdue:  "The sky is falling, the sky is falling.")

* Although a Democrat, possibly looking to retain crossover Republican voters.
