oversouling

A word new to me that I think has a decent chance of cresting in the
discourse for a while: oversouling.

What is it? Something to do with new age-y stuff and astral
projection? More like young age-y stuff and big-screen projection, at
least for its most recent salient example: Christina Aguilera's
excessive ornamentation when "singing" "the national anthem" at the
Stuporbowl. See
