Of coins -- plugged (adj) & plug (berb)

To clarify and summarize the two senses and the dates I've found:

plugged (adj) = restored to true value, 1773.
plug (verb) = to restore to true value, 1785
plug (verb) = to debase, 1789.
plugged (adj) = debased, 1797.

(Perhaps the "debase" sense is the later development.)
