Wonder when the first cite is for the Washington Senators--
"First in war, first in peace, last in the American League".
--an old baseball saying I remember from the 1950s. Now the
Nationals can render Washington "First in war, first in peace, last
in the National League East", although the Mets may give a run for
their money.
