On p.110 of the same issue of LIFE, as part of a review of Gypsy Rose
Lee's book, The G-String Murders, there is a picture of the original
design of the stripper's g-string, very different from the thong
bikini-bottom of today carelessly referred to by people - even in
W:pedia! - who don't give a damn about this kind of nicety as a
"g-string."
