In that case,"Traveller" would be capitalized, unless the writer were a
racist willfully trumpeting his/her racism.

But perhaps she/he neglected to capitalize it so as to hide his/her racism,
thus making her/his racist message more insidiously palatable to the so
easily malleable public.

By raising the issue, however, you become subtly complicitous in his/her
project.
