Helping missing people

This morning a CNN scroll read (very close, but perhaps not
transcribed exactly accurately):

"Google sets up web site to help missing people."

Perhaps that should have been "help formerly-missing people"?

Later in the day (I first saw it at about 12:30 EDT), the CNN scroll read:

"Google launches web site to help relatives find loved ones in Japan."
