I always thought "flesh" was a poor choice for a color that bears little
resemblance to human soft tissue which is mostly red.
"Light skin tone"--or some such--would have been a better choice IMO and
would leave room for other ____ skin tones.
When did "flesh" come to mean skin color--or soft tissue?
"White" to describe Caucasians is inaccurate, as well. I remember meeting a
fellow who addressed this descrepancy by always
calling "white people" Pinkies.
