Well, I don't know. He *does* appear to have some sort of clue. After
all, when the woman says,

"You're Jewish"

he corrects her by saying,

"My _family_ is Jewish."

I.e.,

"Don't tar Jews in the broad sense with the brush of *my* assholery,
simply because I happen to be of Jewish descent."
