peak == largest ?

I might be displaying my profound ignorance here, but it may also be just a
Strine expression. From The Australian:

THE nation's peak Muslim group is using the Gillard government's

I am not even sure if my interpretation is correct, but it's not any use of
"peak" that I've ever heard of. Also note that "multiculturalism" does not
mean the same thing in Australia as it does in the US. It has a very
specific political connotation, closer to "relativism" that the more
intellectually inclined wing of US conservatives always complain about.
