Really? But then, how would I know, having no real-world experience
with the word, except in the single instance of a little joke, in
which NUMBER is of no relevance:
A) Whatcha do when you runs outta 'lasses?
B) You gitchu s'm *mo'* 'lasses!
And yet, _media_ is regarded as a singular, even in other languages
that have borrowed the American semantics, but not the word. E.g.
German,
Media, sg.; Medien, pl.
Youneverknow.
