escalation

Escalation as moving up the chain of support or similar "promotion" of an
issue to those with broader set of responsibilities is common and likely was
discussed here 10 years ago. But the survey I got from HP today goes a step
further: it asks me to rate the "escalation process" after it's been moved
to the "support escalation department".
