_Womack_ redux: trivia

There was an earlier discussion of the fact that the pronunciation of
the name, _Womack_, can be as either "Wummuck" or as "Woe-Mack."

A while back,there was a real-life drama concerning two Texas
families, one native to Midland and one that had recently moved to
Midland from Stephensville. The newcomers routinely pronounced the
name of the local family as "Woe-Mack." The members of the native
family themselves routinely pronounced their name as "Wummuck."

Nothing to see here, right?

It turned out that the spelling of the name used by the Midlanders was
not _Womack_, but, unexpectedly, _Wammack_!

It had been suggested in the earlier discussion that "Wummuck" is the
original pronunciation and that "Woe-Mack" is a
spelling-pronunciation.

Could this _Wammack_ be the reciprocal, a pronunciation-spelling based
on "Wummuck"?
