Yes, I considered including bas"turd" as well, but for an entirely
different reason. I suspect that they actually believed that "bastard"
would be considered too direct an attack on his "lineage", particularly
since it would evoke the memories of Loving v Virginia. I doubt very
much anyone actually thought to bas-tard in that sense. These guys are
somewhat clever with words, but not very bright.
