BUTT HOLE in the sense you have in mind was not yet in US teen speech in 1947. Lighter's ash- tray meaning is OK for other loci, not this one. The Archie strip does not use BUTT HOLE in vacuo, but as opposed to PRIME (beef), as Brewer pointed out. It's tenderloin vs hot dog (intestine casing)... Anachronism.
